Here is a check list for the new term:


SIMS users make sure you have upgraded to the SIMS .net latest release and if you also use SIMS Discover, the update to the latest release for Discover is also required otherwise the remote backup software used by EiS Kent may stop backing up SIMS correctly.

Visit the SIMS Technical area where you will find all upgrade notices..


Service Desk hours are: Monday to Friday 08.00 to 17.00.

If our telephone lines are busy you can email us at support@eis.kent.gov.uk giving as much detail as you can of the issue, any error messages that are displayed and times you are available for a call back.

New staff

If you have new staff please remember that EiS Kent can provide SIMS, KLZ and Technical training courses, see our Training Home Page.

School contacts

If any of your contacts for receiving support information notices and alerts have changed, please advise us by sending details in an email to info@eis.kent.gov.uk giving name, email address, phone number and job title.

Academy converter schools

All our services are available to Academies and EiS will continue to support existing contracts. However, we may need to alter your account details. If you haven't already done so, you can notify us of any changes by emailing info@eis.kent.gov.uk or calling 0300 065 8800. If you have any queries about your school's conversion and IT support services, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

EiS News Summer 2015

MIcrosoft Windows 10

Microsoft have announced the next version of Windows. Windows 10 will be released free of charge at the end of July 2015. In April, an app was released to notify users of the new operating system. The app added an icon to the notification area on Windows 7 and 8.1 with the title “Get Windows 10”. Read more...
